Avoiding Tree Drought
Caring for trees in a dry climate is vital. Sometimes, nothing can be worse than tree drought and unfortunately damage may not be detected for at least 2 years. You’ll be able to symptoms on tree leaves as curling, wilting, and yellowing.
During a drought, in comparison to your lawn; trees must be given the top priority in terms of watering. Deep watering (12″) beneath the surface of the soil is highly recommended during a drought. You should be saturating the soil area in a slow manner, so that the water eventually makes it’s way down to the roots of the tree. Spraying of tree leaves is not effective in any way, the only way your tree will be able to eat is by being watered via the roots.
